Communication is a liberal arts discipline, rooted in persuasive speaking and writing. It is also a pre-professional discipline that prepares you for a career in mass media.
Criminology provides a pathway to pursue careers in policy evaluations, program evaluation, justice-focused non-profits, law enforcement, political think-tanks, law school and federal agencies.

The B.S. in Organizational Leadership is a degree completion program that is specifically designed for working professionals who want to finish their college degree. The program is offered in a hybrid format, with traditional face-to-face classes and online coursework.
Physical education is the instruction of motor skills, games and lifelong physical fitness. Physical education in K-12 schools also includes the teaching of social and personal skills related to a healthy lifestyle.
The peace studies major is interdisciplinary and includes courses in political science, sociology, history, anthropology, psychology and philosophy.

Public health is a science that aims to protect and promote the health of all people and the communities in which they live, work, learn and play. Specifically, the field of public health aims to prevent disease and injury.
The Sociology program at Manhattan College emphasizes critical thinking and ingenuity. As a sociology major, you will become familiar with sociological concepts, theories, research methods and findings. You will gain exposure to diverse social systems and cultures.
The sound studies major teaches audio technology, music recording and critical theory.

Professors in the mental health counseling program will challenge your assumptions and support your professional development. The program satisfies New York State education requirements for licensure as a mental health counselor.
The M.A. in School Counseling is grounded in research and shaped by the real-world needs of schools and organizations. This program prepares graduate students for certification as K-12 counselors in New York State and eligibility for certification in neighboring states New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
